COSCO “Port of Dalian-mexico” Container Express is the fourth foreign trade container line opened by the Liaogang Group this year, providing direct services from Dalian port to major Mexican ports for all customers, in the northeast hinterland and Latin set up a stable, convenient logistics new channel. After the loading and unloading operation, the first ship of the new route, the Oriental Chennai, left the Port of Dalian container terminal slowly at about 1300 hours for the next port of destination.
“The route will operate on a weekly basis, with eight 6,000-8,000 TEU ships scheduled to go directly overseas to major Mexican ports such as Ensenada, Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas, saving more than 10 days in voyage time compared with the traditional transit mode and greatly reducing customers' time and logistics costs,” said Li Xiaoguang, general manager of Dalian Container Terminal Co.
Port is the gateway of regional opening to the outside world, and it is also the strategic resource to promote social and economic development. In recent years, the Liaogang group has been continuously optimizing the layout of the shipping routes and widening the passage of goods in and out of the hinterland around the three major tasks of building an international shipping center, an international logistics center and a sea-land corridor in northeast Asia, we will make every effort to create a new frontier for high-level opening-up in the northeast. Including the Port of Dalian-mexico Container Express, Liaogang Group has opened four foreign trade container lines this year, nearly 100 foreign trade container lines radiate Japan and South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, the Mediterranean, the s and other major global trade areas.

At the inaugural ceremony of the new route on the same day, Liaogang Group also introduced the cold chain business in Port of Dalian, highlighting the advantages of Port of Dalian's cold chain business and the construction of three cold chain service brands, namely, “Fruit trading center”, “Meat distribution center” and “Aquatic Products International Transit Center”; Liaoning Maritime Affairs Bureau introduced some measures to promote the safe and unimpeded transportation of marine cargo at Liaoning port, which will help improve the level of cross-border trade facilitation at the port by further optimizing the regulatory mechanism.

After the ceremony, relevant personnel and customer representatives also visited the Dalian Port Yidu cold chain“Global Warehouse” project. The project covers an area of 130,000 square meters, has a total cold chain cargo storage capacity of 400,000 tons, and is equipped with 72 cold goods processing rooms. It will become the world's largest port-to-port cold chain logistics processing production base and trading platform, and the country's largest international transit center for aquatic products.
